After spending €60 million last summer to acquire Manuel Ugarte, PSG still aims to strengthen their defensive midfield position during the summer transfer window.
To achieve this, club officials are keen on bringing in both Joao Neves and Joshua Kimmich, a surprising move that signals PSG’s willingness to complete both transfers.
Luis Enrique has requested reinforcements from PSG’s management. The Parisian club’s summer transfer activity began strongly with the signing of Matvey Safonov but has since quietened down. Nevertheless, rumors persist, especially in midfield where the capital club is adamant about not settling for just one transfer. PSG wants Neves and Kimmich.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s information, PSG is indeed interested in Joshua Kimmich alongside Joao Neves. Long considered an alternative to the Portuguese midfielder, the Bayern Munich player is a concrete target, and his potential arrival does not hinge on Neves’ signing. The Italian journalist asserts that PSG aims to secure both midfielders this summer.
Benfica remains steadfast in their stance. However, Fabrizio Romano notes that the Joshua Kimmich deal is more likely to materialize. The Bayern Munich club appears less demanding than Benfica, who still demands €120 million to part ways with Joao Neves.
