Official: Senegal Arrives at Stade de France in March

As they prepare to face the Blues at the upcoming World Cup, the Senegal national football team, recent winners of the Africa Cup of Nations, is set to land in France this March. The Lions of Teranga will take on the Peru national football team at Stade de France, in what promises to be an electrifying match.

The Senegalese Football Federation has officially announced the schedule for the Lions of Teranga during the international window in March 2026, as part of their preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The tournament will take place this summer in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Crowned for the second time in its history at the Africa Cup of Nations last January, the Senegal national football team now knows its opponents for the international break from March 23 to 31, 2026.

The highlight of this period will undoubtedly be the friendly match against the Peru national football team. This encounter, confirmed by the FSF, will take place at Stade de France. A prestigious matchup against a renowned South American nation, it will provide the Lions with a real test ahead of the global showdown.

The Senegal national football team will face the Peru national football team on March 28 at Stade de France.

The choice of the venue in Saint-Denis is no coincidence. Beyond the strong Senegalese community in Europe, this match will have a special flavor just months before the anticipated clash against the France national football team in the group stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026. This encounter against Peru will enrich an already well-structured preparation program.

The Lions will also play a home match against the Gambia national football team at Stade Abdoulaye-Wade. This regional and festive outing is perfect for celebrating their Africa Cup of Nations victory and strengthening the group’s cohesion.

It’s worth noting that Stade de France is still not being used by the Blues due to a lack of agreement between the French Football Federation and GL Events, although a resolution is expected soon.
