Florentino Pérez, already eager to change coaches at the end of the season, is considering replacing Alvaro Arbeloa with Luis Enrique or Pep Guardiola. However, convincing either of these two managers proves to be a real challenge for Real Madrid.
January has been particularly hectic for the Merengues. While this month often means targeted signings to strengthen the squad or to compensate for departures or injuries, Real Madrid has opted for a coaching change this time.

Due to growing tensions within the locker room, particularly between some senior players and Xabi Alonso, Florentino Pérez decided to end the Basque’s tenure at the helm of Real Madrid prematurely. To replace him, Alvaro Arbeloa has been promoted from the reserves to the first team.
However, this choice, which seems more like a default solution, is already under fire. After being knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Albacete (D2) and an early exit from the top 8 of the Champions League following a heavy defeat in Lisbon against Benfica, Arbeloa is already on the hot seat.
For his replacement, Florentino Pérez dreams of two coaches: Luis Enrique and Pep Guardiola. But in recent days, another rumor regarding Unai Emery has gained traction. However, according to Defensa Central, Pérez only wants to entrust the position to one of these two Spanish coaches.
Nonetheless, recruiting one of them will not be an easy task. While the idea of Guardiola leaving Manchester City this summer is conceivable, his animosity towards Real Madrid remains a major obstacle. Similarly, although Luis Enrique played at the Bernabéu for part of his career, he seems more tied to the history of FC Barcelona, both as a player and a coach, making his arrival at Real Madrid unlikely.
