With the saga surrounding Kylian Mbappé’s future back in full swing, it has been revealed that Fayza Lamari, the player’s mother and agent, is no longer in talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. According to revelations in the British press, the Merengue boss’s methods are not going down well.
As has been the case for some time now, French striker Kylian Mbappé is making headlines in the tabloids. A true global football star at the age of 25, the Paris Saint-Germain player has the football world on tenterhooks over his future at the club. Having joined the French capital club in 2017, the former AS Monaco player has yet to reach the European stage (the Champions League) that will allow him to join the very exclusive circle of players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid, which grants unique privileges to its players, is right behind the French player. In the past, Fayza Lamari and Florentino Perez have discussed the opportunity.
Perez’s methods don’t go down well
However, according to The Athletic, discussions between Kylian Mbappé’s mother-agent and the much-feared Madrid boss broke down months ago. And for good reason, Fayza Lamari has a strong grudge against Florentino Perez for his unappreciated methods in past negotiations, since hostilities have been going on since 2022. According to the English newspaper, the Franco-Algerian, who has an iron grip on her son’s career, accuses Perez of leaking information about the deal to the Spanish press with the aim of getting journalists to put pressure on Kylian. Quite simply, the Spanish businessman has seriously annoyed mum KM7 with his methods.
According to reports, this situation in no way affects Kylian Mbappé’s eventual arrival at Real Madrid. Today, Florentino Perez is directly removed from the discussions and it is José Angel Sanchez, the club’s general manager, who is the main contact with the Mbappé clan. Since January 1, the Bondynois player has been free to talk to any club he likes via his mother Fayza Lamari and Delphine Verheyden, the lawyer.

Real make last-ditch moves for Mbappé
After the failure of the 2022 summer mercato and the strategy applied last June, the Madrid club is going to put its foot on the accelerator by making contact with the Mbappé clan this January. With an offer of 26 million euros a year in wages and a signing bonus of 130 million euros, Real will be making their latest attempt to secure the Parisian’s signature as soon as possible so that they can have him at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium next June.
For the moment, however, there is no guarantee that Florentino Perez will be successful, as PSG are unwilling to let go of their player despite his refusal to extend his contract last June.
