The U15 and U17 national teams of Senegal, recently crowned champions in continental competitions, were received this Monday at the Palais de la République by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
During this occasion, the head of state announced a series of measures aimed at valuing the players and enhancing their support in educational, health, and sports aspects. This initiative targets both the young footballers and their technical coaches.

For the U17 team, each player will receive an 11th generation iPad, a two-year health insurance plan, and a 24-month training and study scholarship. An individual financial package is also included, along with educational materials. The technical staff will receive financial bonuses and digital equipment, including tablets. The leagues from which the players come will also be supported through financial assistance.
The total amount allocated for the U17 team is estimated at 174,520,000 FCFA.
Regarding the U15 team, a similar plan has been announced. Each player will also receive a state-of-the-art iPad, a two-year health insurance plan, a 24-month training scholarship, and an individual financial package. The technical staff is included in the same support measures, with bonuses and digital equipment. The relevant leagues will also benefit from financial support.
The budget allocated to the U15 team amounts to 136,900,000 FCFA.
In total, the combined measures and rewards for both teams reach 311,420,000 FCFA. According to the information provided, the funds have been issued by check to the Senegalese Football Federation, which is responsible for their implementation. President Bassirou Diomaye Faye emphasized the need to make these measures a structural lever for the development of youth football in Senegal.
