Real Madrid have suffered this season with the injury of several key players. Carlo Ancelotti is constantly plagued by headaches when it comes to putting his team together each weekend. The Transalpine coach has just received good news concerning Camavinga with a view to the resumption of his career.
This season, Real Madrid have had to deal with a bloodbath. Following in the footsteps of Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao, a number of the club’s other stalwarts have been sidelined. While the latest major injury concerns David Alaba, French international Edouardo Camavinga is sorely missed in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Injured for the French national team after a duel with Ousmane Dembele, Edouardo Camavinga is set to miss several months of competitive action. But given the former Rennes man’s speedy recovery, ‘Don Carlo’ will no doubt be the happiest man in the world at the moment.
In addition to Tchouameni, who has already recovered from his injury, the Real Madrid coach will have a number of injured players back in action. While the media are obviously talking about the phenomenon Arda Gurler, Ancelotti has received some good news regarding his ‘darling’ Eduardo Camavinga. The French international midfielder is the Transalpine technician’s Swiss Army knife. Capable of playing in every position in midfield, Camavinga showed last season that he was even more valuable as a left-back than some of the regulars.
Good news for Eduardo Camavinga
Injuries have affected several teams in the LALIGA this season. They have not been able to count on their star players on a regular basis. In Real Madrid’s case, Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois are long-term absentees. Fortunately, Eduardo Camavinga is in the final stages of his recovery and could soon be recalled by Carlo Ancelotti.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the player could return for Real Madrid’s first match in 2024. That match is Real Madrid’s LALIGA clash with Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabéu on 3 January. Camavinga would thus be leaving behind an injury that has sidelined him since last November.
The midfielder ruptured the lateral ligament in his right knee during a training session with the French national team, and has been on schedule ever since.
The return of Edouardo Camavinga will go a long way to helping Ancelotti, who has struggled to put his team together. With his versatility, the Frenchman should be an option for his coach, who lost David Alaba to injury and saw Nacho shown a straight red card.
Camavinga still with Vinicius Jr…
Before pre-season, an image went viral on the web. Edouardo Camavinga had flown to Brazil to train with his Auriverde team-mates Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes and Eder Militao. He also went sightseeing with Real Madrid’s new No7, with whom he enjoys a special friendship.
The Frenchman, who trained at Stade Rennais, spent the Christmas holidays with Vinicius Jr and both are recovering from their respective injuries in Los Angeles. Eduardo Camavinga was seen wearing a bandage on his injured leg. He will now continue his convalescence at Valdebebas with a view to returning to the squad for the match against the Vermellon club when the season resumes on 3 January.
