Despite an initial refusal during the winter transfer window, Fenerbahçe is not giving up on the idea of signing Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson. The Istanbul club is already preparing a new push to convince the player to join Turkey in the summer of 2026.
During the last winter transfer window, Fenerbahçe showed serious interest in Jackson, who is currently on loan from Chelsea to Bayern Munich. The Turkish officials even arranged a face-to-face meeting with the 24-year-old to discuss a potential transfer. However, the Senegal international chose not to pursue it, preferring to focus on his season in the Bundesliga and continue his development in Germany. This refusal did not discourage the Turkish club’s management, who see Jackson as a player capable of significantly strengthening their attack.

According to Turkish media, Fenerbahçe plans to resume discussions as soon as the summer transfer window opens in 2026. However, the situation looks complicated. Neither Bayern Munich, where Jackson is currently on loan, nor Chelsea, his parent club, are planning a permanent transfer at this time. Bayern does not intend to activate the purchase option included in the loan, while Chelsea, who holds the player until June 30, 2033, has not included him in their future plans. It’s worth noting that the striker was signed for 37 million euros by the English club in the summer of 2023, a major investment that highlights the importance placed on his profile by the London management.
To attract Jackson, Fenerbahçe might offer a loan with appealing personal conditions, emphasizing an ambitious sports project and the chance to play a key role in the team. The club remains confident in its ability to convince the striker, especially since several European clubs are also interested in him. This season, Jackson has played 15 Bundesliga matches with Bayern Munich, totaling 445 minutes and scoring three goals. These modest stats still reflect his potential and offensive versatility.
All signs point to Fenerbahçe resuming negotiations next summer, hoping to finally attract Nicolas Jackson. The Turkish club is banking on its appeal and sports project to bolster its squad before the start of the 2026-2027 season and strengthen its attack with a Senegalese international capable of making a difference on the pitch. Optimism is high in Istanbul, where Jackson’s arrival would be seen as a major coup for the club and its European ambitions.
